Tatra chamois á la Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol (6.8.1928 - 22.2.1987) was an
American visual artist of Slovak, more precisely Ruthenian, origin. He is also
known as a film-maker and a leading figure of American POP-art. Strong, vivid
colours, repeating motifs and iconic depictions of pop culture are
characteristic for his serigraphs. Marilyn Monroe, Campbell's soup and others.
The work originates from Warhol's classic
view of portraits, despite the subject not being a human being.
Are you sick of various texts and "funny"
remarks on clothes? Present art instead, show people around you Slovakia and
its beautiful places – show that this country is not a "hole" (diera) in the
heart of Europe…
